Catch of the Day: Pardon Me, But There’s a Growth on That Elephant
Ever since President Obama unveiled his American Jobs Act bill, there have been three main reactions: love it, hate it, or “What’s the alternative?” Senator John McCain and several other Congressional Republicans presented an alternative last Thursday, though it seems to have gotten less publicity than Ron Paul’s eyebrows and the dedication of the Martin Luther King, Jr., memorial in Washington, D.C.

McCain carefully emphasizes his differentiation of these two bills. Business, not government, creates jobs. Growth, not spending, is what we need. Say what you want about Herman Cain, but at least the title of his 9-9-9 plan has numbers instead of big, vague, feel-good concepts.
